A little Syrian girl, Aisha (5 years old), selling tissues on the streets of Turkey to help her family survive, is absolutely shaken when she sees a man in uniform (police) coming towards her. So much so, she grabs on to a passer-by for dear life. Despite the officer’s attempt to calm her down, she repeatedly begs to be let go and promises to not do it again, thinking she is going to be punished for her crimes. Her style used to make the emphatic promise was the gesture used by some Arabs of kissing her hand and placing her finger on her forehead, which children use when asking for forgiveness after doing something terribly wrong.
In behavior highlights the psychological background of the Children of Syria towards “military dress”. Imagine what these children had suffered that scares them like this.
this shit here broke me
I just ….am speechless. MOST of us here in a America will never know this pain or this fear. And I can take it a step further and say that the majority of WHITE Americans will never know this fear either…
So manga studio 5 is on sale this weekend. Decided to buy it and try it out! I Painted the majority of this in Clip Studio Art (Manga Studio 5) but finished it up in Photoshop… I gotta say that as far as the line art tools I reaaaaally like this program. But I’m not sure about the painting process…it will take a lot of getting used to and I probably need to watch more tutorials. The way some of the brushes work are really confusing.I can see how they would be REALLY cool if I was trying to actually be painterly with my work…(And sometimes I really enjoy that look) but I think it is a bit odd that sometimes the brushes seem to “Blend” colors that are on a completely different layer. All in all for 15 bucks I think MS5 is a pretty nifty program and I look foward to creating more “painterly” pieces in the future.
its been a while since I’ve done anything with tutorials ahhh also my explanations started to die out because I don’t have a lot to say to describe each one. If this helps you, I’m glad. But I would say to just springboard from this! get loose with your poses and have fuuuuun
