if I had one word of advice to artists out there:
Confidence
it will get you farther than you can ever imagine. I know for some of you, that’s really really hard but just try it. Fake it until it’s real. Go into a drawing and shove the negativity away, act like it’s going to be your greatest masterpiece throughout until it’s finished. then what? rinse and repeat!
One of the reasons I love art so much and love making it is because I feel so confident in my own work during the process of making it. I can’t help but sit there and admire it, showing WIPs to my friends because I’m just that excited about it. The energy you put into your art makes all the difference and if you’re planning on selling that art, confidence sells. Trust me.
this is something I learned and realized from working at an artist alley table in a convention for the first time.
