And I'm super confused on how I feel about it. (Spoilers ahead)

I knew going in that the relationship between Ana and Marnie wouldn't be a romantic relationship by the end...

AT THE SAME TIME

Ana didn't know that Marnie was her grandma...and the way they acted and the things they said SEEMED romantic to me... (Ana's mind even placed her in the roll of Marnie's future husband)

SO while I am not an Ana/Marnie shipper i still feel that at the end of the day the feelings that they felt for each other were legit feelings... And I would even hypothesize that Ana is an LGBT character in some way or another... There were times that they acted so LOVINGLY to the other that my heart skipped a beat and I found myself frustrated that this relationship wasn't going to be what we all thought it would be....

This movie was really BEAUTIFUL. But I am also confused as to what the big deal is regarding her foster family being paid to care for her...at least in the U.S. states usually provide supplemental support for foster parents so they provide for the child in their care... Perhaps to a 12 year old that's not something they can understand??

IDK I will probably need to watch this anime again to appreciate it...
