I can’t remember the exact time Marriage Equality became the law of the Land here in USA. But I remember it was the one of the happiest most uplifting moments of my life. I will never forget watching the live blog-feed that my coworker showed me. I will never forget the happy tears I shed over this historical decision.

Two weeks later, I was able to celebrate marrying the love of my life.

These past two years have been filled with excitement, rejoicing and for some, a huge sigh of relief.

But the battle for equality doesn’t end at the altar. It doesn’t stop simply because, we can marry whomever we want now. Painful crimes are still being committed, families are still being torn apart by prejudice and fear. Transgender individuals still face so much scrutiny and hardship and many have even lost their lives.

Earlier this month I painted a rainbow Pitbull for my spouse… Because, I have come to realize like this dog breed, the LGBTQIA community is so often misunderstood and harmed because of this irrational fear.

That one painting made me realize that I could continue to draw some of the major LGBQIA labels: Gay/Lesbian Pride, Bisexual Pride, Pansexual Pride, Transgender Pride, Genderqueer Pride, and Asexual Pride(Ace).

Our community deserves to be loved and cherished. If you don’t know an LGBTQIA person, get to know one of us. We are actually really amazing. Reach out. Let us show you we are just as normal as you are.

I would love to do more illustrations like these. If you want to see more sexualities and identities illustrated please message me. I’ll also try to have these illustrations for sale on merchandise somewhere if there is enough interest. So please share this as much as you can!

But today, I share these with you in celebration. Two years ago Love Won. And even thought times seem really scary right now, Love will Always Win!

Happy Love Day, everyone.

I am a Gay Christian, and I recently tuned in to the Reformation Projects Convention in Atlanta. They were streaming the majority of the conference online. The Last speaker said things that blew me away and broke my heart at the same time. here are my thoughts. This is addressed to those Christians who continue to keep us away from Church:

Listened to many powerful things today during The Reformation Project’s Atlanta Conference online. One of the topics that was touched upon really struck me at my core and broke my heart a little bit. and I am shaking so hard I can hardly type.First of all, to my fellow brothers and Sisters in Christ: I am wearing the same Armor of God that you are. We are not enemies. Please stop treating me as such, whether it be by exclusion, disgust, fear, ignoring my existence or pretending not to notice. We have a common enemy and it is not Sexuality and Gender Identity.Secondly, Have you guys ever considered the possibility that you are fighting against the very will of God when he says, “FOR WHO EVER calls upon Jesus will inherit the Kingdom of God.” Have you considered the possibility that you are being used to spit venom and hate and pain when all God wants is for you to love and accept the fact that His love is bigger and greater than we can EVER imagine?Church, have you considered that perhaps you are a roadblock? That you are slowing down HIS work?I know these are tough questions, and you can throw them right back at me. I am shaking right now as I ask them because it never occured to me that perhaps my fellow Christians are being used in a way they never ever thought was possible and that is to perpetuate a LIE that God doesn’t love or accept the LGBT community. Are my fellow Christians preventing VITAL members of the Body from joining churches?I am shaking because as marriage equality moves forward, I have faith that someday Kat and I, and the LGBT community will stand beside you, and worship God TOGETHER without fear…That day is not here yet…please stop and think are you slowing down HIS KINGDOM from advancing? All we want is to LOVE our FATHER WITH YOU.We serve the same God, We have the same savior. We have the same mission. We are not your enemy. Please PLEASE consider this.‪#‎TRPinATL‬

Hey everyone, Kit here. long time no see… sorry about the lack of update.. I will change that I promise!
I am getting married in July to the love of my life, Kat. But because We are both women, my family still refuses to help or even attend our wedding…and I need help to pay for things that normally the parents of the Bride would pay for. Such as the wedding dress…and decorations and other things.

Kat’s family is Amazing and has offered to pay for some aspects of the wedding. But because Kat and I work full time with little pay we have been unable to save up as we had hoped.)

Because of that I have started a GoFundMe campaign. and I NEED all the help I can get. If you can’t donate your money, could you spare a share? Could you help me get the word out?

I am also going to open up commissions on my artblog, Kit-N-Kadoodle to help.

I want our big day to be as happy as possible, please read my story, Please Let Love Win.

____UPDATE 3-28____ Hey everyone! Kit here! So far Kat and I have received a great start to our gofundme campaign! BUT we still have a long way to go. Even a dollar or lots of reblogs will help! please help our day be magical! Let Love Win over the sadness that my family is choosing not to come. Love you all. Thanks for your support.
